Biography:
Thanos, a powerful Marvel Comics supervillain, hails from Titan, one of Saturn's moons. He is a member of the Eternals, though born with a Deviant gene that grants him immense power and a disfigured appearance.
Obsessed with the concept of balance in the universe, Thanos believes that rampant overpopulation will inevitably lead to resource depletion and destruction. He thus seeks to eliminate half of all life in the universe, viewing it as an act of mercy.
His ultimate goal is often pursued through acquiring the Infinity Stones, six immensely powerful gems that, when combined in the Infinity Gauntlet, grant the wielder near-omnipotence. Thanos has repeatedly battled numerous heroes, including the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, and various cosmic entities.
Driven by a twisted sense of altruism and unwavering conviction in his purpose, Thanos remains one of the most formidable and complex antagonists in the Marvel Universe.
